About FuSE

FuSE designs, manages, and executes electricity consumption data products for forward-thinking on- and off-road electric vehicle fleet operators. Our current markets are California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Canada (federally), and soon many other state and province jurisdictions. Our customers are  operators of zero-emission trucks, buses, cars, vans, shuttles, cargo-handling equipment, refer units, vessels, ground support equipment, and other modes of transportation  located at airports, seaports, retailers, grocers, campuses, distribution facilities, municipalities, and more.

Our proprietary system—provided for free to customers—enables our clients to unlock an entirely new, substantial revenue stream from a previously obscure and administratively burdensome government programs, generally called Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) or Clean Fuel Programs (CFP's).

Our current markets are California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Canada (federally), and soon many other state, province, and federal jurisdictions. Our customers are operators of EV chargers, zero-emission trucks, buses, cars, vans, shuttles, cargo-handling equipment, refer units, forklifts, vessels, ground support equipment, and other modes of transportation located at airports, seaports, retailers, grocers, transit agencies, campuses, distribution facilities, municipalities, and more.

Our Canadian operations are conducted through our wholly owned subsidiary, Energy Mission Control Canada Ltd. dba FuSE. This position will be employed under the Canadian entity and will focus on managing the programs in Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the executive-level staff to help advance operational systems toward maximum accuracy and efficiency. The Operations Manager, Canadian Programs, will directly report to the Director of Operations for all Canadian program matters. 

Position Overview

The Operations Manager, Canadian Programs, will play a critical role in executing and optimizing FuSE’s Canadian regulatory operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this individual will focus on regulatory compliance, reporting accuracy, data integrity, and operational scalability within Canada’s federal Clean Fuel Regulations and British Columbia’s LCFS program.

This is a detail-intensive, analytically rigorous role that blends regulatory interpretation, structured data analysis, client coordination, and internal systems improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in compliance-driven environments and enjoys building clean, defensible workflows.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end execution of Canadian CFR and BC LCFS reporting cycles.
  • Register clients, facilities, and assets within federal and provincial regulatory systems.
  • Build relationships with clients and manage operational inquiries with existing clients.
  • Maintain compliance calendars and ensure all mandatory filings are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret regulatory text, technical guidance, and program updates, translating requirements into operational processes.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Validate, reconcile, and QA charging and fleet electricity consumption datasets.
  • Build and maintain structured spreadsheets, tracking tools, and dashboards for reporting and credit generation.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of reporting datasets and supporting documentation to ensure defensibility and regulatory alignment.
  • Support portfolio-level revenue modeling and credit forecasting.
  • Assist in developing automation and workflow improvements to reduce manual processes and increase reporting reliability.
  • Other ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

Customer Success & Internal Operations Support

  • Lead onboarding of new Canadian clients, including data intake, asset verification, and documentation review.
  • Liaise between sales, partner success, and operations teams to ensure charger/fleet asset lists and operational data remain accurate ahead of reporting deadlines.
  • Draft clear, concise communication to clients regarding reporting requirements and program updates.
  • Proactively flag compliance risks, data gaps, or regulatory ambiguities to the Director of Operations.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve internal controls, validation logic, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Test new platform features that impact Canadian reporting before external release.
  • Author quick reference guides and standard operating procedures for Canadian Programs to bolster our training library as our team grows.
  • Help build repeatable, defensible processes that withstand regulatory scrutiny.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical, compliance, operations, or data-focused role — OR a recent graduate with strong quantitative and regulatory coursework
  • Strong spreadsheet proficiency (pivot tables, structured formulas, lookups, charting)
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and numerical fluency
  • Ability to read and interpret complex regulatory documents
  • Clear, professional written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and deadline-management capabilities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup-style environment

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience working with the Canadian Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR) or BC LCFS
  • Familiarity with carbon markets or environmental commodity programs
  • Experience in the electric vehicle or transportation electrification industry
  • Exposure to EV charging networks, Charging Network Operators (CNOs), or Charging Management Systems (CMS)
  • Experience working with energy consumption datasets (interval data, meter data, fleet telematics, etc.)
  • Exposure to automation tools, scripting, or AI-enabled workflow design
  • Background in Environmental Science, Economics, Engineering, Business, Public Policy, or related disciplines
